Bucketss is a Premiership Player and the current Vice-Captain of the Geelong Gumbies in the Sweet F.A.

Career[edit | edit source]

Recruitment[edit | edit source]

Buckets (Buckets007 back then) was recuited by Rizz0 before the start of Season 11. Under the captaincy of Ninty, Buckets lit the training track up and quickly found himself a favourite among Gumby fans. This attracted interest from the Cheerleaders that the Gumbies had currently on the squad and Buckets picked himself up a personal cheerleader for the season. Everything was going great for Buckets and the season hadn't even begun.

Promise of a Champion[edit | edit source]

Buckets found himself on the HFF for much of his debut season but also had stints on the wing and as rover. In his debut game against the Southern Dragons Buckets had 17 disposals, 6 marks and 3 goals.[1] In round 4 against the Mount Buller Demons Buckets found himself with 21 disposals, 7 marks and a career high 5 goals.[2]

But the young gun wasn't done with yet, 4 goals against the Dragons and some consistent football saw Buckets' stocks rise but it was the round 14 clash against the Fighting Furies that they skyrocketed. In what is still his best performance of his career, Buckets amassed a total 34 possessions, along with 6 marks, 2 goals and 3 Mobbenfuhrer Medal votes in the B.O.G. performance.[3]

Buckets would finish the season with 29 goals, 7 behinds and 10 Mobb Medal votes. Experts on the game say he was unlucky to be overlooked for All-SFA selection that season but Buckets didn't mind as he picked up the Gumbies Rising Star award at the teams awards night.

The Fall of Buckets007[edit | edit source]

Unfortunately with great power comes great responsibility and Buckets abused it every chance he got. With the big paycheck he got by signing a lucrative 3 year deal with the Gumbies, Buckets spiralled into the world of Alcohol, Gambling, and Sex.

Partying every night at the latest clubs, racking up gambling debts in excess of $22,000,000 and sleeping with countless supermodels took it's toll with Buckets' on-field performance and he slowly declined to a lesser position where champions go to die. After 4 seasons, numerous appearances in rehab and being asked who he was by SFA newbies Buckets decided to ditch his past and start anew in the vein hope that he could not only salvage his career but return to the superstar he was destined to be.

Rise Up Bucketss[edit | edit source]

By casting away not only the Buckets007 name but whole profile, Buckets started paving the way for an unprecedented turn of events. He now stands as Bucketss, looking to get the Gumbies back to premiership contention and assist in leading them to their first ever premiership.

Premiership Success[edit | edit source]

In Season 16 Bucketss achieved that goal as the Gumbies went from zero to hero, fighting their way from the wooden spoon in Season 15 to claiming the Holy Grail the following year in a 1 point thriller over the Fighting Furies. Bucketss did his part for the team as he racked up 15 disposals and 2 marks while also troubling the scorers with 3 goals.

During the post-game interviews, Bucketss said that "There is definitely a feeling of redemption about this victory. After all, the Furies beat us in our only other Grand Final appearance which was back in my rookie season. To win by a solitary point had my heart racing but I wouldn't have it any other way"

The Next Chapter[edit | edit source]

With a Premiership medallion around his neck, Bucketss continues to boost his profile in order to get the league's attention. He signed on with the Flogcutters for a second season and aims to bring Network BKTS to the front of the media pack.

He has also found his way to Full Forward and now looks to establish himself as a Premium FF or onballer. Time will tell if that will be at the Gumbies or if interest is sparked from other teams.

Off Field Accomplishments[edit | edit source]

Media Mogul[edit | edit source]

Bucketss has launched his own media empire with the opening of Network BKTS. It has been an early success with a fan base already being established. The network currently has one project:

  • The SFA Power Rankings. An objective list of all SFA teams that counts down from #10 to #1.

Ruour has it that two new projects are in development:

  • An end of season countdown ranking players in the SFA. (Total number not confirmed)
  • The SFA Blacklist. An off-season player v player showdown to determine who is truly the best in the league.

The Flogcutter[edit | edit source]

In S16 the formerly disbanded group the Flogcutters made a comeback to the SFA. Alongside some old faces, Bucketss was invited to join the 'power group' of the Sweet FA's most respected and well known posters thanks to the recommendation from Claypigeon. This has only seen Bucketss' status strengthen in his mission to re-establish himself as a superstar of the SFA.
