Transcript[edit | edit source]

UL: Today we welcome to the Den one of the most controversial figures in all of SFA, the leader of the Flogcutters and Juggs pal Itsmyshow

UL: I'll try and start of easy enough on you, the Hawks season is over, how did you view it? Success stories and failures?

IMS: When the Hawks season is looked back on, it will be done so fondly, I had an awful mess to clean up after the sacking of boncer34 and it took some time to rebuild the stocks, Dagless stepped up, Tarkyn_24 was returned to his rightful position at FF and Mr Eagle was finally rewarded for his commitment to the side, during the regular season, these guys and many of the more recent recruits, like TRAWP Chezzalenko Reborn and Karnezis_13 all stepped up and performed during the course of the season. Despite the bad wrap this club gets, we have come a long way since the failures of the two seasons prior, to finish the season on top of the ladder was an outstanding achievement. The finals overall were obviously disappointing, I felt I lacked the support of my leadership team in dragging the team up out of difficult positions and was left one out to deal with it myself. We have a fantastic leadership team, but they were non contributors come the most important time of the year on the Qooty field, that needs to be rectified.

UL: There was a fair bit of criticism about the finals system, it worked for the Hawks, how did you view it?

IMS: I have made my thoughts on this pretty clear... Since when did we want basic and simple shit to creep into this fabulous game!! If the finals series is convoluted, confusing and completely insane, isn't that the point?? Why not keep things interesting.. It astounds me how seriously some people take this stuff... I enjoyed the finals series, sure, it benefited the Hawks, but I couldn't give a continental who it benefited, it made things interesting as hell, the simple flogfolk would have been rejoicing in the streets if the Hawks had been the first ever club to be eliminated in straight sets after 3 games, but it didn't eventuate, so it gave so many the chance to openly cry into their soup.

UL: Are there any recruiting targets the Hawks have their eyes on?

IMS: I cannot make comment on the Hawks recruiting strategy at this time, make no mistake though, we will have TRAWP out on the hunt again, we might send Karnezis_13 along with him this time.

UL: Do you plan on being captain for the Hawks next season?

IMS: I plan on being the Hawks captain for the remainder of eternity. Lets be honest, there is no one more capable than me of the top job, in fact, I could take any of the top jobs in the competition and make them better, it's just how good I am. That of course, is complete and utter bollocks.. I have no idea at this stage where I will be positioned in S17, after that shambolic finals series, I have to consider my position and that of the club and decide what is the best move to make, for both...Maybe it's time for someone else to step up into the role, I have never been adverse to that, leadership promotion is exactly what this game should be all about. I have already announced internally to the club, and here is a scoop for you Leo, that Mr Eagle and Karnezis_13 have been promoted to Vice Captaincy in S17, it's fantastic that we are in a position to do this. HARPSichord has decided that he will return to the more suitable position of list clogger.

UL: What are your plans for next year? There have been ruours of you joining other Flogcutters at the Royals?

IMS: At this stage, the dust hasn't even settled on S16, but I will consider my position over the coming weeks. I have enjoyed my time at the Hawks and the board have assured me that I have their full support, so I will take some time away, maybe sabotage a few opposition teams and take stock of what I do moving forward.. As for the ruour, that's about all it is at this stage, obviously I have fielded many substantial offers for my services, I have also had queries about my Qooty future, but all I can say in regards to the future and in particular this ruour... Well... Never say never.

UL: What have you thought of their recruiting so far?

IMS: It has clearly been a huge positive for a club that will enter it's 2nd season, appointing everyone's favorite FC WGS was a "wise" move by the Royals, and targeting FC's was a "wise" move by Sam.. As long as the existing list sticks around and the Royals gain a commitment from the players signed, they will certainly be set on the path to a posting powerhouse within the competition.

UL: What is the future for the flogcutters?

IMS: The Flogcutters will rise again.. I really did think that the project this season was a rousing success, I look forward to continuing it next season, of course, there will need to be adjustments, I shall do the usual invitation to join at the beginning of next season and we shall see what turns up, but the make up of the FC's will certainly remain with one representative per team, but the final makeup may have some minor adjustments, I just haven't decided as yet..

UL: What are your thoughts on pantskyle's move to the Wonders?

IMS: Pretty sure I have covered this one off exclusively.. I am disappointing for the make up of the league that pants decided to make the move from a club that is certainly not considered inactive, but could find it difficult to cover a person of many posts, to a club where he will basically be lost in the flood of other spammy posts. The problem again is that far too many are starting to take this all far too seriously.. There is absolutely no requirement for pants to join the Wonders, they have plenty of strong contributors, I would rather have seen him make a statement and made it interesting, how good a talking point would have pants joining the Furies as the first "non Richmond" supporter and contributor capable of bringing back a club from the brink.. Or joining the Dragons and becoming part of a brigade of posters that have nothing but the ability to dominate, and despite not having even spoken to him, joining the Hawks, another addition to the long line of "antagonists".. It would have created a true talking point instead of now the biggest spamfest match threads to ever hit the SFA and probably the loss of SFA veterans, I can see posters like ClarkeM ShaunDuggan disappearing into the abyss.. I'll get people jumping all over that from the Wonders, but it's just what I can see happening.

UL: Yeah you had covered it already, I just wanted to emphasise it because I agree entirely, going on from that do you think the Roys will struggle even further next season?

IMS: No, not neccessarily, they have a couple of the best contributors in the competition in Reardo and Broken who will no doubt shoulder the load and you can never forget the spectre that is Mobbenfuhrer who could become active again when the time is right which automatically makes them a power, I think the signing of wmoore is a huge coup for the Roys, he is seriously underrated, and if they can get a couple of specials back and posting in Carn the Roys! and royboy2 they will be just as solid as they always are, a fantastic achievement from a side that was rated a "posting bye" when I joined them.. But if any of them dare mention Mick Conlan again I might just go postal down at Brunswick Junction.

UL: What about The Jet? Clearly the a team like the Roys need players, should Jobe be someone to bring in? Or has he had enough chances?

IMS: This might surprise a few, and I am not sure why, but I am of the same opinion as Okey, everyone should have the right to play the game, but there are only so many times you can burn a bridge, I have nothing to hide, I run every decision by the leadership team and we did so again this season with Jobe, and the leadership team have copped flak since, but we gave Jobe a home when no one else would, we then made sure that he knew he still had a home after his first season with the Hawks, he came to us with his option to join expansion, I wished him well but made it clear, if he joined and expansion failed, he was seriously putting his career at the Hawks in jeopardy, that was his choice, he chose to leave and put himself in that position. In saying that, I do hope that someone does pick him up. As annoying as he is, he does like the joint. To the other point of the question, I don't believe that the Roys is a suitable fit.

UL: Your prediction for the Mobbs Medal?

IMS: PVF - Had a ripping season in the sim, is going to be tough to beat, for the Hawks, we have a couple of live chances, larrikin had another huge season, whilst Mr Eagle and Tarkyn_24 are not without a chance too.

'UL: And the EKA Medal?'

IMS: I can answer this without prejudice as the Hawks leadership will consult on the club votes, but this seasons EKA is a crackerjack field, as good as it has ever been, I would suggest there are 10-13 chances for the medal, that's phenomenal. Any one of the chances would have won it last season and gone mighty close the season before, so it will be interesting. The standout for me though, would actually be yourself, a quietish start, but the ability to stay at the forefront of activity and really drive your name to the front of the minds of the masses has been impressive.

UL: Premiers for this season? Gumbies or Furies?

IMS: The Gumbies were slightly discourtious toward me recently, in actual fact, they are possibly the floggiest team going around at the moment, would be a great way for tigland to cap off an outstanding season with a premiership, and I like the dirty mexican.. So I will tip the Gumbies, comfortably..

UL: Any final words?

IMS: Just keep your eyes and ears to the ground, more big news could be on the way!!!! Lets never ever make this game contain nothing interesting and controversial...
