Van_Dyke is a current player for the Mount Buller Demons in the Sweet FA. Signed at the start of S20 by club legend cats2rise, he quickly became a Demons mainstay, being solid on and off the field early on, and continuing with that to be a leader at his club

Player History[edit | edit source]

Season 20[edit | edit source]

Van_Dyke started his career in defence, at Full Back, and quickly impressed off the field, even though despite getting plenty of the ball, he had a bag kicked on him. He soon made his move to the wing, but after defence issues, spent some more time down back, continuing a partnership with Smartys Power. He soon moved back to the wing and helped to propel the Mount Buller Demons to a top 4 spot, and then a grand final, after a good display in the Prelim. However, the side lost in the grand final, which marked the end of the Eth and Footypie32 reign of captaincy, with the latter soon leaving

Van_Dyke was recognised for his good season, by coming 3rd in the Season 20 EKA Medal, behind two strong posters in Wooshette and Close Contest, while in house he got the Mount Buller Demons Rookie Award for best rookie and the Mount Buller Demons Coaches Award. He was also deemed stiff to miss the All-SFA side

Season 21[edit | edit source]

Van_Dyke started back on his wing spot, and in a new look Demons side, containing Okeydoke7 MOoP along with Smartys Power as captain and was one of the stronger posters, while being good on field and a leadership group member. He eventually moved to the rover position, as the side struggled both on-field and off. None the less, in the threads he continued to preserve, despite having little support.

He was recognised for these efforts with plaudits for his efforts, while polling strongly in the Mobbenfuhrer Medal, while being a member of the All-SFA side. In-house, he got his second Mount Buller Demons Coaches award, thanks to his efforts in such a poor season. VD has played a large part behind closed doors, and it is hoped that some of his additions make a big difference in S22.
