Career[edit | edit source]

okeydoke7 is a current player for the Gold City Royals and the current administrator of the Sweet FA, and a former member of the Mount Buller Demons, Dragons FFC, Baghdad Bandits and East Side Hawks.

He started his career with the Mount Buller Demons, joining in the latter stages of S09 and playing predominantly in defence. He made the transition to the forward line in S10, winning the club's leading goal kicking award. A controversial off-season at the club saw him instated as captain, a position which was given up almost immediately as he looked to move to the Southern Dragons.

S11 saw him win the Dragons' leading goal kicking award and also the league goal kicking award (Alf Andrews Medal). Despite this, he was overlooked for the All-SFA team. A lack of on-field success (plus waning interest) saw him move to the Bombers. This kicked off a tumultuous period for Okey, who quickly became inactive and then retired. An attempted comeback was granted by the East Side Hawks, but it was a failure, resulting in just a handful of games and the admission that the return was ill-fated.

After a real break from the game, he returned in Season 15 to the Bombers. He played S15 and S16 with the Bombers, a club he was temporarily based with before an early retirement. He won the club's goal kicking in both seasons and built on the media work that he was known for. This included the ill-fated "SFA MEDIA" and the well supported "OkeyJoke Medal," based solely on QOOTY performance.

Not long after the season ended, okey announced his intention to join forces with departing Wonders co-captain Wise Guy Sam in committing to the Gold City Royals for Season 17. He was announced as co-captain of the Royals midway through S17 and won the leading goal kicker award at the club.

He stepped down from the captaincy at the end of S17 to take up the position of Admin of the league.
