Career highlights

Deddy is a player for Dragons FFC in the Sweet FA.

Career[edit | edit source]

Early days (S14-15)[edit | edit source]

Deddy was snapped up early by the Mount Buller Demons , after posing his request to join a Sweet FA side just after Season 13 had come to a close. He didn't take very long to adjust to the league's style, with his confidence and wit suggesting he was to be a long-term player for the Demons, and his on-field form in the pre-season, all-conquering at points, almost getting the Demons to a third pre-season cup.

His posting ability quickly led to a key spot in the side, playing predominantly in the midfield but also in the ruck and as a tall forward. The all-round skill on display led to a lot of possession and with his consistent posting output came a quick rise amongst the Sweet FA ranks and a favoured candidate for the EKA Medal, where he eventually finished in second place. Regardless, his consistent yet explosive performances earned him a Deestroy Medal in his first year to go with eight votes in the Mobbenfuhrer Medal.

Throughout Season 15, he maintained his position in the ruck and performed solidly, but a lack of posting form saw him moved out of the position[1]. He expressed his disgruntlement with the decision in the Demons' team thread and, a week later, quit the Demons[2].

Towards the end of Season 15, he was announced as a part of the bid made by expansion team Gold City Royals for an entry into the league for Season 16.

Gold City Royals (S16-)[edit | edit source]

Deddy was welcomed to the Royals as one of their most senior posters, and as such captain Easty made the decision to announce him as his deputy[3], alongside Snappy!. Though previously playing as a ruckman, Deddy was trialled up forward in a practice match, kicking two goals.[4]
